Measurement Responsibility: The customer is responsible for providing accurate measurements. Modern Craft Labs designs refill molds using the measurements, photographs, and information supplied by the customer. Final fit depends on the accuracy of the information provided.
Glass Manufacturing Tolerances: Glass containers may vary between manufacturers, production lots, and suppliers. Modern Craft Labs designs refills with reasonable manufacturing clearances but cannot guarantee compatibility with every vessel produced by a manufacturer.
Printed Fit Sample: Customers are strongly encouraged to purchase a Printed Fit Sample before mold production. The sample is intended to verify physical fit before silicone molds are manufactured.
Orders Without a Printed Fit Sample: Customers who decline a Printed Fit Sample acknowledge that molds will be produced from the approved dimensions. Fit adjustments after mold production may require new molds or additional charges.
Additional Printed Fit Samples: One Printed Fit Sample covers one design iteration. Additional revisions resulting from measurement changes, different vessels, customer-requested changes, or vessel variations may require additional Printed Fit Sample fees.
Refill Library: Refill designs created for commercially available containers may be added to the Modern Craft Labs refill library. By requesting a refill design or mold, the customer grants Modern Craft Labs permission to manufacture and sell compatible refill molds for the same commercially available container. This permission applies only to refill dimensions and compatibility information and does not include customer trademarks, logos, artwork, branding, or confidential information.
No Exclusivity: Modern Craft Labs does not offer exclusive refill designs for commercially available containers. If multiple customers request compatibility with the same vessel, compatible refill molds may be manufactured and sold to any customer.
Design Improvements: Modern Craft Labs may adjust dimensions, tolerances, clearances, draft, radii, and manufacturing methods at any time to improve fit, durability, manufacturability, or performance.
Calculator Output: The Refill Fit Calculator provides estimated dimensions only. Final production dimensions may be modified during engineering review.
Limitation of Liability: Modern Craft Labs' liability is limited to the purchase price of the design service, Printed Fit Sample, or molds purchased. Modern Craft Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or business losses.
Returns: Because Printed Fit Samples and refill molds are custom manufactured, they are not eligible for return or exchange except in the event of a manufacturing defect.
